ItineraryDetailed Itinerary – Manali 4 Nights 5 Days Tour Package from Chandigarh

Day 1 – Chandigarh to Manali Scenic Mountain Journey (Approx. 300 km | 8–9 Hours Drive)

Your journey to the beautiful Himalayan hill station of Manali begins with your arrival in Chandigarh. Our representative will meet and greet you at Chandigarh Airport, Railway Station, or your preferred location before starting the scenic road trip toward Manali.

The journey from Chandigarh to Manali is one of the most picturesque drives in North India. As the road leaves the plains of Punjab and gradually enters Himachal Pradesh, the landscape transforms dramatically. Flat agricultural lands slowly give way to winding mountain roads, pine forests, and river valleys.

Most of the route runs alongside the Beas River, which flows through deep valleys surrounded by forested hills. Small mountain towns, roadside cafés, and local fruit markets appear along the route, giving travelers glimpses of life in the Himalayan region.

Sunder Nagar Lake Stop

During the journey, a short stop is usually made at Sunder Nagar Lake, a calm and scenic reservoir surrounded by green hills. The lake was created as part of a hydroelectric project but has now become a popular stop for travelers heading toward Manali.

The peaceful setting makes it an ideal place to stretch your legs, take photographs, and enjoy the cool mountain air before continuing the journey.

Local roadside stalls near the lake often sell fresh fruits, snacks, and tea, giving visitors a taste of Himachali hospitality.

After the break, the road continues through the towns of Mandi and Kullu, following the Beas River valley as it climbs toward Manali.

By evening, you will arrive in Manali, a popular Himalayan resort town located at an altitude of around 2,050 meters above sea level.

Upon arrival, check into your pre-booked hotel and relax after the long yet scenic drive through the mountains.

The evening is free for leisure. Guests may explore nearby cafés or simply relax while enjoying the cool climate of Manali.

Overnight Stay: Manali

Day 2 – Manali Local Sightseeing Tour (Exploring the Cultural & Natural Highlights of Manali)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a local sightseeing tour covering some of the most iconic attractions in Manali. This day allows visitors to experience the cultural heritage, natural beauty, and vibrant local life of this famous Himalayan hill station.

Hadimba Devi Temple

The first stop is the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, located within a dense cedar forest known locally as the Dhungri Forest. Built in 1553, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, a character from the Indian epic Mahabharata.

The temple’s architecture is unique compared to typical North Indian temples. It features a wooden pagoda-style structure with intricately carved doors and wooden beams reflecting traditional Himalayan craftsmanship.

The surrounding forest of tall deodar trees creates a mystical atmosphere, making this area one of the most photographed places in Manali.

Museum of Himachal Culture & Folk Art

Located close to Hadimba Temple, the Museum of Himachal Culture and Folk Art offers visitors an opportunity to understand the traditional lifestyle of people living in the Himalayan region.

The museum displays traditional costumes, musical instruments, household tools, and ancient artifacts that represent the cultural history of Himachal Pradesh.

Visitors can learn how local communities adapted their lifestyle to the harsh mountain environment while preserving rich cultural traditions.

Club House Manali

The Manali Club House is a popular recreational complex located near the Manalsu River. Surrounded by scenic mountain views, the complex offers several indoor and outdoor activities.

Visitors can enjoy indoor games such as billiards, table tennis, skating, and small amusement activities. The riverside setting also makes it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the surrounding landscapes.

Van Vihar Nature Park

Van Vihar is a beautiful nature park located near Mall Road and surrounded by tall deodar trees. The park offers peaceful walking trails, shaded resting areas, and a small lake where visitors can enjoy paddle boating.

The calm environment makes Van Vihar a great place to relax after exploring the busy streets of Manali town.

Tibetan Monastery

The Tibetan Monastery reflects the influence of Tibetan culture in Manali, as many Tibetan communities settled here after migrating from Tibet.

The monastery features colorful prayer flags, Buddhist murals, and traditional Tibetan architecture. Visitors can observe monks performing prayers and explore small shops selling Tibetan handicrafts, carpets, and souvenirs.
